The Leadership in Reading concentration prepares educators to assume leadership roles in curriculum development, staff development and literacy evaluation at the K-12 levels. This concentration meets USF, state, and national standards. A graduate who successfully completes the program for this area of specialization is eligible for South Dakota Department of Education certification as a K-12 reading specialist after completing at least three years of teaching experience.
