Theology and Philosophy Minor
The goals of the Theology minor are to provide students with a broad understanding of theology in its biblical, historical, theological and philosophical aspects and to present students with the opportunity to develop a Christian worldview.
The Theology minor can be a foundation for graduate and professional training leading to careers in pastoral ministry, Christian education, missionary service, campus ministry, institutional chaplaincy, para-church ministry and teaching.
In addition to meeting the regular degree requirements of the University (which include THE 140 and 240), the student must take at least 15 semester hours of study that include at least one course in biblical studies, one course in historical studies, and two courses in theological or philosophical studies or world religions. The remaining three semester hours may be selected from any other Theology or Philosophy courses.
