Next, you can work on Financial Aid.

File your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) as soon as possible.  USF has a priority filing date of March 1st.  File your FAFSA soon for the best package!  You can file online at
www.fafsa.ed.gov using the USF code of 003469.

If you are not planning on filing, call us and let us know so we can start working on your financial aid package right away.  Also, don’t give up on looking for outside scholarships.  Some are sill available so check with your guidance counselor!

You will receive an award letter toward the end of March if you file by the priority filing date.  If you don’t, or if you have questions, call the Financial Aid office to check on your award letter status.  Inside your award letter you will find two copies, one for you and one for us.  After you have reviewed your award letter, send our copy back with your signature on it.  Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have questions and/or concerns about your package.

Next come the deposits!

A tuition deposit of $100 is due before you register for classes.  This deposit is paid directly towards your tuition costs for fall.  For students enrolling each fall, the tuition deposit is refundable until May 31st of that year.

A housing deposit of $100 is also due to reserve your place in a residence hall. Remember, to get your top choice on halls you will want to get this in soon!  Housing applications are mailed each spring and you simply need to complete and return it with the housing deposit.  This will help Residence Life to choose where, and with whom, you will be living. For students enrolling in the fall, the housing deposit is also refundable until May 31st of that year.

Payment for these deposits can be made by check or credit card over the phone.  You can pay both these deposits in one transaction.
