Favorite USF Memory
Last winter when we had classes cancelled for two or three days. We were all pretty much snowed in so everyone was just hanging out. Plus the USF Winter Olympics were being held that week, which included a trip to the ice skating rink for anyone brave enough to venture out.

Reason for choosing USF
I chose USF for its location, its friendly enviornment, and the spiritual atmosphere of the campus. Also, my brother, Jesse, had attended here and thoroughly enjoyed his experience, which led me to look at USF in the first place.

Introduction
November 27, 2007

Hi everyone! My name is Jamie and I am a junior at the University of Sioux Falls. I am really excited to be a part of this new addition to the USF website, and I hope that by sharing some of my experiences here at USF, you will get a better feel of what our campus is like, and thus, help you decide whether this is a place you could call "home" in the future.

I chose to attend USF for several reasons. First, I liked the location. Home for me is only a little over an hour away, so I am on my own but close enough that I can make it home for a weekend here and there. Plus, Sioux Falls is a great size, as there are always plenty of things to do. Second, I was attracted to the welcoming environment of USF. On both of my visit days, I was impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the students and faculty members. In my two and a half years I have met amazing people, developed deep friendships and made plenty of great memories. Also, I have found that the professors here truly care about us and are always more than willing to answer questions and provide assistance. Finally, the spiritual atmosphere of USF played a huge role in my deciding to come here. I have been challenged to grow in my faith through so many different ways here, including chapels, church services, bible studies, friends, and service projects. God is definitely present and moving on this campus.

I am currently majoring in Exercise Science, with a concentration in Exercise Physiology and am getting a minor in Chemistry. My classes are not always easy, but I am constantly learning new information which is so exciting. Being that USF is a liberal arts university, we are exposed to many different areas of study, rather than just our majors and minors. This gives a great opportunity to take classes that may teach you something new about yourself, such as a talent or interest that you never realized you had.

Well, this is just a little about me, and I hope that you will check back for future postings to learn more about life at USF. In the meantime, good luck with your college search!
