Because history courses at USF include a broad range of topics, places, and periods, students can always find something that fits their programs and satisfies their curiosity.  Divided almost equally between U.S. and non-U.S. offerings, the history curriculum explores human activity in various contexts and from different perspectives.

Approximately half of the students who select the history major at USF are preparing to teach history.  A history major also provides excellent preparation for careers in ministry, law, library science, historical preservation, journalism, and museum work.
