You are worth the investment, and an investment in education is the most beneficial investment that one can make through these challenging economic times.
We are excited to announce the upcoming third new major, Entrepreneurial Studies, through the Degree Completion Program beginning January 2010. Starting and/or building new organizations or revitalizing mature organizations in response to identified opportunities is an exciting and rewarding challenge. The better prepared one is for the realities of starting or revitalizing an organization, the higher probability one has at being successful. Accepting applications now!
The University of Sioux Falls has been a regional leader with adult learner programs that emphasize quality, affordability, and convenience. In 1988, the University of Sioux Falls began the Degree Completion Program (DCP), and the program continues to flourish today and introduces an exciting new curriculum. The enduring concept behind this program has been to provide an opportunity for working adults to complete a bachelor's degree and maintain full-time employment. This program enables people with at least two years of transferable credit to complete their major coursework in order to obtain a degree one night a week, in Management, Accounting, or Entrepreneurial Studies. Courses are offered in a variety of formats: in the classroom, hybrid, and online.
Students have the opportunity to study with other adults who have varied work and life experiences. Together they form an academic support group, drawing from their own personal, professional and technical backgrounds as they follow an intense program of classes and independent study.
Students in the Degree Completion Program come from a variety of occupational backgrounds. Nearly 64% are in business and industry; 22% are in healthcare or related fields; 11% are in government, social service or agriculture; and approximately 3% are committed to volunteer community service.
The goal of the Degree Completion Program is to empower adults as they develop a pattern for lifelong learning that is vital for individual and professional growth.
