Graduate Outcomes

With the media pervasiveness that exists in our culture today, the opportunities available to you as a Media Studies major at the University of Sioux Falls are endless. A primary goal of the Media Studies program is to encourage new ways of thinking about communication, technology and democracy within the context of a Christian worldview. This major seeks to provide you with a broad awareness of media's place within a social structure which appears to be more concerned with consumptive patterns of behavior rather than democratic discourse.

In the Media Studies program you can choose to concentrate in one of five areas: Journalism, Multi-Media Production, Media Marketing, Media Management and Media Research.

USF College Week

The Media Studies department produces College Week, a 30 minute news program that focuses on news and information about colleges and universities in the region.
