Collections Policy

It is USF's policy to send all unpaid balances to a collection agency after six months of inactivity. To ensure your account is not turned over to collections, please pay your balance in a timely fashion or make specific arrangements with the USF Student Accounts Office.

USF offers a payment plan (FACTS plan) as a convenience to the student. Past Due FACTS enrollment information can be obtained by calling 605-331-6640. Please confirm your entire amount due before enrolling.

Student Accounts assigned to collections may be reported to the credit bureaus. All questions regarding an account that has been transferred to a collection agency should be directed to that agency.

USF will not remove a registration or transcript hold until the balance in collections has been paid in its entirety.
