Collections Policy
It is USF's policy to send all unpaid balances to a collection agency after six months of inactivity.  To ensure your account is not turned over to collections, please pay your balance in a timely fashion or make specific arrangements with the USF Student Accounts Office. 

USF offers a payment plan (FACTS plan) as a convenience to the student.
  Past Due FACTS enrollment information can be obtained by calling 605-331-6640.
  Please confirm your entire amount due before enrolling.

Student accounts assigned to collections will continue to accrue interest charges and may be reported to the credit bureaus. All questions regarding an account that has been transferred to a collection agency should be directed to that agency.

USF will not remove a registration or transcript hold until the balance in collections has been paid in its entirety.
