Welcome to the homepage of the Music Department at the University of Sioux Falls! The Music Department serves students of all academic disciplines, with opportunities to major in music or to participate as a non-major in a variety of vocal and instrumental ensembles. Performance and participation scholarships are available for interested students.

New and Noteworthy in the USF Music Department:

MENC at USF
The Music Department is chock full of majors and minors this year (40 at last count!). Be sure to fully participate in the life of a collegiate musician by joining the USF chapter of the Music Educator's National Conference. Among our activities this fall will be a trip to Rapid City for the SDMEA (South Dakota Music Edcators' Association) Conference at the end of October.

Attention high school seniors!

As you look into your options for college, be sure to consider the University of Sioux Falls! USF offers generous music scholarships to students who wish to participate in music ensembles and take private instrument or voice lessons. You don't have to major in music to qualify for a music scholarship -- you just have to audition. (Of course, if you're interested in choosing a major or minor in music, we'll be glad to talk with you about that, as well!) Official scholarship audition days are listed below; individual audition times may be scheduled for students unable to make any of the official scholarship dates. Contact one of our music faculty members for more information on USF's music department and ensembles.
