The University of Sioux Falls Madrigal Dinners are an annual series of Renaissance-themed Christmas dinner theater performances.  Established in 1964 by Lois Harchanko, Music Professor Emeritus, the Madrigal Dinners represent one of the longest-standing and strongest traditions associated with USF.  The performances, combining vocal and instrumental music, dancing, drama, and fine dining, are presented by the University of Sioux Falls Singing Camerata (known during the holiday season as "The Madrigal Singers") in authentic Renaissance garb. For a $35 ticket price, guests of the USF Madrigal Dinners are treated to a delicious four-course meal and entertainment in the form of jokes, dramatic sketches, songs, solos, and instrumental music, presented by the Madrigal Singers, a variety of student musicians, dancers, and a court jester.  Special group rates are available, allowing guests to purchase a table of eight (8) seats for the price of seven (7).  Treat your family and friends (a great gift idea!) or organize your office holiday party with us! The Madrigal Dinner begins with a reception in the Ward Lobby of the McDonald University Center at 6:30 p.m.  The USF campus is located at 1101 West 22nd Street; madrigal guests may park in lots H, I, and E, as shown on this campus map.  The entertainment begins with the musical reception, after which the students, in elegant Renaissance costumes, will escort each dinner guest personally to the Salsbury Dining Hall, which will be festively decorated for a Christmas feast.  Dinner begins at 7:00 p.m. with entertainment before, during, and after the meal.  It will truly be a holiday experience to remember!
