The Political Science Department at USF offers a comprehensive program that studies political institutions and behaviors from both a historical and theoretical perspective. Courses explore systems of government (Western and non-Western, national and state/local), constitutional principles, philosophical questions, and international relations.

This area of study prepares students for careers as pastors, lawyers, teachers, journalists, government officers, foreign service officers, politicians, or any profession that requires a knowledge or public affairs, law, and research skills.
