If you are a victim...
-
If you are in danger, being threatened, stalked, or assaulted, call 605-321-6400 for Campus Safety, or call 911.
-
Tell someone you can trust and who will be supportive of you if you are a victim of violence (dating/domestic/partner), assault (sexual or physical), stalking, or harassment.
-
Seek medical attention immediately if you have been injured. If you would like to make a report to the police, it is important to keep any evidence of physical abuse (ripped clothing, photos of bruises and injuries, copies of medical reports) or sexual assault (do not shower, eat, or smoke, and place clothing in a paper bag).
-
Hotlines are always available to you 24 hours a day. You can talk to a hotline counselor about your options, make a safety plan, identify resources, or find out how to join a support group.
-
For more information on violence (dating/domestic/partner), assault (sexual or physical), stalking, or harrassment, contact the U•SaFety Program office at 605-331-6613 or
