Graduate in education workshops are available each semester. Fall and spring workshops are typically Fridays from 4:30-9:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Summer workshops are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. throughout the week.
Undergraduate workshops are also available through the Learning Institute each semester. These workshops are typically held Fridays from 6:00-10:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
Workshops are one credit and are graded either Pass or No-Credit (P or NC). Grade reports are not issued to students, however, transcripts may be requested free of charge. The cost is $120 per credit.
Workshops can also be taken for non-credit for $50. A certificate of attendance will be provided for teacher renewal purposes.
Students can now register for graduate, renewal and non-credit workshops on-line. This is the safest and most preferred method. Go directly to http://reach.usiouxfalls.edu and search through the on-campus workshop catalogs. Payment must be made by credit or debit card.
For those registering by check, participants can download the on-campus registration form from http://reach.usiouxfalls.edu (found under Policies & Information) and submit to the Office of the Registrar.
A $50.00 deposit must accompany registration. The balance is to be paid by the first day of the workshop. In the event the workshop is cancelled, participants will be notified one week in advance and receive a full refund. To drop a workshop, participants must notify the Office of the Registrar at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the workshop. If the participant fails to drop before the 24-hour deadline, or fails to attend without drop notification, the $50.00 deposit will not be refunded.
