The student association is made up of all University of Sioux Falls students. The Senate is made up of 30 elected students from a cross-section of the university. They meet to maintain academic freedom, academic responsibility, student rights and Christian growth; as well as stimulate and improve democratic student cultural, social, physical, and spiritual welfare. The senators meet bi-weekly and meetings are open to the public. In addition to activities and community involvement, the Student Senate is also the voice for student concerns serving as a catalyst for positive change and allocating funds. Senate members include: USFSA President, USFSA Vice President, USFSA Secretary, and representatives from each class and student group. Elections are held for officers and senators in the Spring with the exception for Freshman representation elections held in the Fall.
