Director of Athletic Concessions
GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Director of Athletic Concessions is a full-time non-exempt position and will oversee all aspects of the concession, operations at the University of Sioux Falls This includes organizing operations, managing supervisors, recruiting, training, cost analysis, menu development, sales, purchasing, cost of goods, guest satisfaction, accounting, loss prevention, relationships with external constituents and maintaining the highest standards of quality for all employees, volunteers, products and services. This position reports directly to the Assistant Director of Athletics – External Affairs and the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs.
LIST DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Negotiates with external constituents to promote, develop, and monitor all concession operations for the University’s athletic program.
- Manages and monitors the concession operations and the maintenance of quality control in all of the University’s athletic concession facilities.
- Supervision of University’s athletic staff and students with responsibilities related to concession functions.
- Supervision, management and ultimate responsibility of the collection and deposit to the University’s Business Office of all money received from sale of concessions. Accurate accounting is required and the responsibility of the Director of Athletic Concessions.
- Maintenance of inventory and monitoring concession operations and quality control.
- The Director is also responsible for the inspection of equipment and determination of required repairs, alterations and maintenance to code per OSHA regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, client's customers, and staff

- Perform other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Athletics – External Affairs or his/her designee
- Complete all duties in a timely manner or as dictated by the project deadlines and events.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: (Include education and/or experience)
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Business or similar business discipline
- Degree in Culinary Arts from accredited institution required
- Knowledge of sports and entertainment industry preferred
- 2-5 years experience in food preparation and service
- Strong knowledge of the principles, practices and methods of food preparation
- Knowledge and/or familiarity with accepted methods for concession sales and revenue
- Ability to meet and deal with food service providers
- Knowledge of food service and preparation equipment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective communication and management skills
- Ability to work independently meeting priorities, deadlines, and overall goals of the department

General Summary of Position:
The Assistant Registrar position is a full-time, exempt position which provides support to the registrar and to the functions of the Office of the Registrar. Responsibilities include managing the general maintenance of databases within the University of Sioux Falls Student Information IT system for registration and statistical purposes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain the degree audit system for student graduation audits
- Enter all courses into CARS (student information system) for each term
- Serve as contact person in maintaining the registrar web page
- Serve as certification officer for all students receiving veteran’s benefits at USF
- Direct and manage all aspects of student participation in commencement exercises
- Supervise the development of web registration schedule for students for each term
- Assist registrar with evaluation of transfer credit
- Provide FERPA training and information to all USF faculty & staff
- Assist registrar with records maintenance and security of records and with administration of academic policies in a consistent manner
Qualifications:
- Completed bachelor’s degree required
- Previous experience in a university or community college registrar’s office preferred
- General higher education experience preferred
- Ability to think analytically and work independently and collegially
- Strong IT experience required with substantial experience with relational databases
- Ability to work within the mission of USF and the Office of the Registrar
- Attention to detail and organization
- Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff and students
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced business or educational office
