The Adam Bruce Millikan Endowed Scholarship was established in 2002 in loving memory of Adam by his family and friends. Adam was a Criminal Justice major at the University of Sioux Falls and had completed his freshman year.

First Preference: Those students who will be seeking their first bachelor's degree, majoring in Criminal Justice (seniors in high school or current students included). First priority will also go to students who graduated from Lincoln High School. Second preference will go to students majoring in Psychology. Applicants must provide High School or USF Transcript.

1. Applicant must have been a member of an American Baptist church for at least one year before applying. 2. Applicant must be enrolled at an accredited educational institution in the U.S. or Puerto Rico. 3. Applicant must be a United States citizen.

Scholarships for American Baptist Students and Ministerial Leaders.

Sixteen scholarships will be awarded based on leadership, school and civic involvement, satisfactory scholastic progress and demonstrated financial responsibility.

Student must have a FirstChoice checking account at First Dakota National Bank and demonstrate satisfactory account maintenance at the time of application. Student must be a U.S. citizen/permanent resident. Student must attend a post secondary accredited American college, vocational technical school, or university. Previous FirstChoice scholarship winners and First Dakota employees and their immediate family members are NOT eligible.

First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard are once again offering their Community Scholarship Program. They feel it is important to reward future leaders who show excellence beyond getting good grades - to honor those who have enriched the lives of others. They will be awarding a limited number of $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors.

There are four scholarships available: Herman Lerdal Scholarship, Joyce Hazeltine Scholarship, David S. Birkeland Scholarship, and Alan B. Graff Scholarship

Student must be attending any SD College or University. Student must be a junior with interest in a career in banking, finance, or business.

The application is available in the Financial Aid Office or online. Application must include two letters of recommendation.

Qualified USF students may participate in the Air Force ROTC program offered on the campus of South Dakota State University in Brookings. These students can compete for Air Force ROTC scholarships and financial assistance.

Eligible applicants must be Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and be attending or have been accepted to an accredited school 2 or 4 year college/university or technical/vocational school.

The mission of the AIEF Scholarship service is to give more American Indians and Alaskan Natives the resources and encouragement they need to learn and succeed.

Application Process: 1. Applicant must be a current Avera employee or student enrolled in a qualified program. 2. Application can be made by current employees enrolling in qualified programs and by students enrolled in the final two years of a four-year degree program, the second year of the two-year program, or other designated programs. 3. Students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0

The ARCH scholarship is offered to students majoring in certain healthcare disciplines. Recipients are required to sign a contractual agreement stating that they will work at an Avera facility for six months after graduating.

Offered to full-time undergraduate students who are seeking a high-need major as recognized by South Dakota. Recipients must be selected by the state Dakota Corps committee as a scholarship recipient.

A limited number of students graduating form a South Dakota high school with a minimum of 24 ACT and a 2.8 GPA will be awarded a Dakota Corps Scholarship based on the number of students who qualify through the state. Students must major in a high-need field and agree in writing to work in South Dakota in a critical need occupation for as many years the scholarship was received plus one.

The Mary Chilton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution offers a one-time scholarship of $6,000 to a returning full-time USF student from South Dakota. The Applicant must also have at least a 3.0 GPA, complete the required application and essay questions, and attend a dinner with the chapter if selected.

Application Process: Student must graduate from a South Dakota high school in 2013. Student must show financial need and must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Student must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0. Student must be accepted for admission to the University of Sioux Falls. Student must be a "full-time student" and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours. Student must maintain a 2.0 GPA in college to retain scholarship.

Fred W. Hatterscheidt was a prominent Aberdeen businessman in the 20th Century. He and his wife, Ruth, left an endowment through the Hatterscheidt Foundation, Inc. to aid area students hoping to further their education. Scholarships are awarded to freshman students for $1,500 for one year only.

Founded in 1975, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund believes that the country prospers when all Americans have access to the opportunities a college education can afford. HSF works to address the financial and cultural barriers that keep many Latinos from earning a college degree.

The Jump Start Scholarship is offered to students who graduate from a public high school in three years or less. Students will be eligible for $1,812.09 to be distributed equally across both Fall and Spring semesters during their first year of postsecondary enrollment. No student who enrolls in a high school for all or any part of a fourth year is eligible for the Jump Start Scholarship program.

The Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation offers a wide variety of competitive scholarship awards to help students achieve their goals.

Offered to students from South Dakota who meet the minimum scholarship criteria and application deadline. The scholarship amount is spread over the course of 4 years following high school graduation.

Students must graduate from a South Dakota high school with a 24 or higher ACT and a 3.0 or higher GPA. Students must also complete a set of high school course requirements and must submit an application by September 1st for the fall or January 15th for spring.
