Adam Bruce Millikan Endowed Scholarship $1,500 (Approximately)  
Description:

The Adam Bruce Millikan Endowed Scholarship was established in 2002 in loving memory of Adam by his family and friends. Adam was a Criminal Justice major at the University of Sioux Falls and had completed his freshman year.

Application Process:

First Preference: Those students who will be seeking their first bachelor's degree, majoring in Criminal Justice (seniors in high school or current students included). First priority will also go to students who graduated from Lincoln High School. Second preference will go to students majoring in Psychology. Applicants must provide High School or USF Transcript.

American Baptist Financial Aid $500 - $1,000  
Description:

1. Applicant must have been a member of an American Baptist church for at least one year before applying. 2. Applicant must be enrolled at an accredited educational institution in the U.S. or Puerto Rico. 3. Applicant must be a United States citizen.

PREMIER Business Scholarship $4,000
($1,000 annually /
$500 per semester)
 
Application Process:

First Premier Bank and Premier Bankcard are offering their Premier Business Scholarship.  They are offering several $1,000 scholarships to selected students who are able to maintain an employment relationship with First Premier Bank or Premier Bankcard while attending the University of Sioux Falls.  USF will also match the $1,000 scholarship.

South Dakota Bankers Foundation Scholarship $1,000 (each scholarship)  
Description:

There are four scholarships available: Herman Lerdal Scholarship, Joyce Hazeltine Scholarship, David S. Birkeland Scholarship, and Alan B. Graff Scholarship

Application Process:

Student must be attending any SD College or University. Student must be a junior with interest in a career in banking, finance, or business.

Air Force ROTC Amounts Vary  
Application Process:

Qualified USF students may participate in the Air Force ROTC program offered on the campus of South Dakota State University in Brookings. These students can compete for Air Force ROTC scholarships and financial assistance.

American Indian Education Foundation Up to $2000 per year  
Description:

Eligible applicants must be Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and be attending or have been accepted to an accredited school 2 or 4 year college/university or technical/vocational school.

Application Process:

The mission of the AIEF Scholarship service is to give more American Indians and Alaskan Natives the resources and encouragement they need to learn and succeed.

Avera Resources for careers in Health Programs Amounts Vary  
Description:

Application Process: 1. Applicant must be a current Avera employee or student enrolled in a qualified program. 2. Application can be made by current employees enrolling in qualified programs and by students enrolled in the final two years of a four-year degree program, the second year of the two-year program, or other designated programs. 3. Students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0

Application Process:

The ARCH scholarship is offered to students majoring in certain healthcare disciplines. Recipients are required to sign a contractual agreement stating that they will work at an Avera facility for six months after graduating.

Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R) Scholarship One time $6,000 Scholarship  
Application Process:

The Mary Chilton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution offers a one-time scholarship of $6,000 to a returning full-time USF student from South Dakota. The Applicant must also have at least a 3.0 GPA, complete the required application and essay questions, and attend a dinner with the chapter if selected.

Hatterscheidt Foundation $2,000 (1000 per semester)  
Description:

Application Process: Student must graduate from a South Dakota high school in 2016. Student must  file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Student must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0. Student must be accepted for admission to the University of Sioux Falls. Student must be a "full-time student" and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours. Student must maintain a 2.0 GPA in college to retain scholarship for the second semester

Application Process:

Fred W. Hatterscheidt was a prominent Aberdeen businessman in the 20th Century. He and his wife, Ruth, left an endowment through the Hatterscheidt Foundation, Inc. to aid area students hoping to further their education. Scholarships are awarded to freshman students for $2,000 for one year only.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund Amounts Vary  
Description:
Anyone of Hispanic background (one parent fully Hispanic, or both parents half-Hispanic) may find scholarship opportunities.
Application Process:

Founded in 1975, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund believes that the country prospers when all Americans have access to the opportunities a college education can afford. HSF works to address the financial and cultural barriers that keep many Latinos from earning a college degree.

Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation Scholarship Vary

There are scholarships for students from Sioux Falls, from across the state of South Dakota, and students of Native American descent.

South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship $6,500 over 4 years  
Description:

Offered to students from South Dakota who meet the minimum scholarship criteria and application deadline. The scholarship amount is spread over the course of 4 years following high school graduation.

Application Process:

Students must graduate from a South Dakota high school with a 24 or higher ACT and a 3.0 or higher GPA. Students must also complete a set of high school course requirements and must submit an application by September 1st for the fall or January 15th for spring.
