Criminal Justice Week: Sister Helen Prejean

October 18 | 7 p.m. | USF’s Salsbury Science Center, Room 120 (Big Z Hall) An Evening with Sister Helen Prejean:Getting Jesus Right Sister Helen Prejean is the author of Dead Man Walking, the book which ignited a national debate on capital punishment and inspired an Academy Award-winning movie, a play and an opera. Sister Helen’s second book, The Death of Innocents: An Eyewitness Account of Wrongful Executions, was published in 2004. Sister Helen’s newest book and memoir is entitled, River of Fire: My Spiritual Journey. She will draw on that book in her presentations entitled, “Getting Jesus Right: My Spiritual Journey.” This event is co-sponsored by the University of Sioux Falls and Prison Congregations of America.
