The program is designed to offer flexibility for those with a busy schedule while simultaneously making the most of each class to stay on track for graduating in an efficient manner. Students take one course at a time over the 39-month program. The course modes vary from online to in person and meet on a designated day once a week. And, because the dissertation is built into the program from the start, once all coursework is complete at the end of the 39 months, the dissertation will be complete as well.

A current doctorate program student shares the advantage of a once-per-week schedule:

“Thursday night class has now become part of my regular routine and I have learned to appreciate the regularity of our class schedule. This simplifies my schedule allowing me to better manage my time between family, home, and school. I wouldn’t want to do it any other way. I thoroughly look forward to every Thursday. I appreciate that it is year around and I find myself falling into a routine with it all.”

With the demand for doctoral level interdisciplinary leadership professionals on the rise, the University of Sioux Falls provides the opportunity for those looking to enhance their leadership skills in industry, nonprofits, education, health care, ministry and communities, with their Doctorate of Leadership. Hear first-hand about the advantages of enhancing one’s career with a Doctorate of Leadership in USF’s upcoming virtual info session on February 23.

A unique aspect is the opportunity to learn hands-on with professionals in a variety of disciplines, both within and outside your industry, which provides the advantage of learning skills which can be immediately applied to your profession upon graduation.
