When you study Youth Ministry at USF, you will have access to the many outstanding church youth ministries in the city of Sioux Falls. The Theology faculty encourage students to get involved in one of these ministries at the start of their college career. In students' junior or senior year, they will do a formal Youth Ministry internship.

Through the Youth Ministry internship, students will be provided with guided, practical youth ministry experience. Students will be placed with an established youth pastor who has a relationship with USF.

In the course of the formal internship, students will get first-hand experience with different dimensions of youth ministry. These include: leading discipleship groups, giving large group talks and organizing events and activities. Students are encouraged to use their specific gifts and talents to enhance the internship experience. Past interns have made significant contributions in service, music, art, mentoring and teaching.

Similar internships are available for students whose career objective is pastoral ministry, children's ministry, campus ministry or worship and music ministry.
