Transfer Students
Transfer to USF with Ease.
The University of Sioux Falls has made transferring easy and affordable. Whether you've been away from college for years, you are looking to change institutions after your first semester or you recently finished a two-year degree, USF allows you to transfer with confidence.
Transfer Credit Evaluation
Upon acceptance into the University, a student's coursework will be reviewed for transferability. Preliminary transfer credit evaluations may be requested by emailing unofficial transcripts and a desired major to admissions@usiouxfalls.edu.
Apply to USF
Application Details
To consider your application, USF will need to receive the following items:
- Submit an online application – no application fee.
- Send us your official high school transcript.
- Transcripts of all previous college work.
Once all the appropriate forms have been submitted, you can expect to hear from USF regarding the status of your application within 2 weeks.
Admission Standards
- Achieve a 2.0 cumulative transfer GPA.
- ACT or SAT score will be requested if applicant has less than 12 attempted credits.
If you do not meet the above criteria, we still encourage you to apply for admission. In some cases students who do not meet the admissions requirements outlined above you may be granted conditional acceptance with the opportunity to be fully accepted after the completion of one successful semester.

Submit a FAFSA
All students are encouraged to apply for Federal Aid by submitting the FAFSA. Use our school code to add USF to your FAFSA – 003469.
Estimate Your Scholarship
All students are considered for a transfer academic scholarship and notified of their scholarship at the time of admittance. Use your cumulative GPA to estimate your academic scholarship amount offered each year.
After Acceptance
It's official! You're going to be a University of Sioux Falls Cougar! If you haven't already, please pay your $100 tuition deposit to hold your spot by May 1.
