Kevin L. Cole, Ph.D.
Professor, English
Kevin Cole received his B.A. and M.A. in literature from Texas A&M University (1991 and 1993) and the Ph.D. in literature from Baylor University (1999). He has taught at USF since 1999. He teaches LAR 111 and 112; Literature and the Critical Imagination, including an all-outdoor section; the early and later Survey of British Literature courses; Shakespeare; Slave Narratives; Race and Religion in the American Imagination; and AHE 524 (Quality in Higher Education). His book of poetry "Late Summer Plums" was published in 2016; his most recent play, Loving Arms, was produced in February 2020; he is currently at work on other plays and works of fiction. Since 2010 he has been in the Peer Review Corps of the Higher Learning Commission, has been chairing teams since 2016, and acts in several other capacities for the Commission.
