USF is committed to diversity and equality in education and employment.

Unsolicited Resumes
No resume or application will be accepted for a position not open. All such resumes will be considered Unsolicited Resumes. Resumes presented by University employees for positions not currently open will also be considered unsolicited. All Unsolicited Resumes shall be forwarded to the Human Resources Department. Unsolicited Resumes will be destroyed and a notice will be sent via e-mail or by the US Postal Service advising the initiator that the University does not retain resumes unless we have an open position. The notice will further indicate that the individual may reapply in the future for specific open positions for which they are qualified.

Philosophy of Education
The University of Sioux Falls is a Christian university in the liberal arts tradition. University faculty should be committed to the integration of faith and learning and to the goal statements of the University. USF emphasizes excellence in teaching, effective student learning and incorporation of undergraduate research with student learning.

Additional Information
Federal law and regulations require notice to all prospective employees regarding crimes that have occurred on campus in the current three-year period. Please refer to the University of Sioux Falls Campus Safety and Security website for the complete Annual Security Report (Clery Report).

Statement of At Will Employment Status
USF can, at any time, for any reason or for no reason, terminate an employee's employment relationship. This is known as the "at will doctrine" and is commensurate with South Dakota law. The only employees who are possibly exempt from this at will doctrine are faculty to whom Section 4B of the Personnel Handbook applies and employees, if any, who enter into an employment contract with the University in which the University expressly waives application of the at will doctrine.
