Application Process for International Students

Below are the steps you will need to complete to gain admission into the University of Sioux Falls. For more information, or if you have questions or need assistance, click here to visit the International Education Office page.

Step 2: Transcripts

Submit your high school transcript and transcripts from all colleges that you have attended (if applicable) for review to the University of Sioux Falls. Please note that an applicant may be asked to submit a transcript to a credential evaluation service. 

A minimum of 2.8 GPA or higher (U.S. equivalency) is required for admission. 

Before the International Education Office can issue an I-20, OFFICIAL transcripts (not a photocopy) are required. To be considered official, transcripts must be sent from the school directly to the University of Sioux Falls.

 

Step 3: English Language Proficiency Scores

All applicants to the University of Sioux Falls must demonstrate English competence with either acceptable test scores or an educational background in one of the following ways.

Submit one of the following for review: 

  • TOEFL (internet-based test) score of 75 or better
  • IELTS score of 6 or better                                     
  • Duolingo score of 110 or better
  • ACT subscore
  • SAT Evidence-based Reading and Writing score
  • U.S. high school transcripts of at least one year of attendance
  • College-level coursework with at least a cumulative GPA of 2.8 from an accredited U.S. college or university

Step 4: Application Addendum and Proof of Funding

After we receive all of the application materials listed above, we will email you instructions for completing the application addendum and submitting proof of funding.
