If you have a passion for reading and writing and a desire to serve others through teaching, an English Secondary Education Certification from USF will prepare you for meaningful service in the classroom. Through this program, you will learn a variety of skills and methodologies that will enable you to teach literature, grammar, reading and oral communication to grades 7-12.

English Education combines both the English major and Education major. For this major, you must complete a minimum of 31 semester hours of English courses, 6 semester hours of a foreign language, 6 semester hours of oral communication and the courses required for secondary education certification.
