Media Studies Minor

Requirements: Student who meet the regular degree requirements of the University for a major in some other program may receive a minor in Media Studies by completing 20 s.h. of Media and Visual Arts courses as follows:

ELECTIVE(S) IN MINOR

Complete 9 s.h. from the following courses.

  • - Introduction to Design (3 s.h.)
  • - Digital Photography (3 s.h.)
  • - Digital Photography II (3 s.h.)
  • - 2D/3D Motion Graphics (3 s.h.)
  • - Introduction to Social Media Management (3 s.h.)
  • - Media Graphics (3 s.h.)
  • - Photojournalism (3 s.h.)
  • - Advanced Media and Visual Arts (3 s.h.)
  • - Reporting (3 s.h.)
  • - Digital Audio (3 s.h.)
  • - Web Design (3 s.h.)
  • - Dsktp Video & Non-linear Editing (3 s.h.)
  • - Media Issues & Law (3 s.h.)

REQUIRED LAB COURSES

Take two semesters of the following lab courses.

  • - Print Production Lab (1-2 s.h.)
  • - Radio Lab (1 s.h.)
