USF business students volunteer with VITA

This spring, USF business students helped the Sioux Falls Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) complete over 330 tax returns. The volunteers assisted in the taxpayers getting $185,121 of Earned Income Credit and total refunds of $437,281.
Ceca Cooper selected to present her artwork in Governor’s Biennial Art Exhibition

In recognition of her significant achievements in the visual arts, Associate Professor of Art Ceca Cooper was selected as one of ten artists from across the state to present her artwork as part of the South Dakota Governor’s 7th Biennial Art Exhibition.

USF partners with Dispatch Project, impacts Haitians

USF’s motto Culture for Service inspires faculty, staff and students to impact the world for Christ and serve those in need. Through a partnership with Dispatch Project, USF sponsored three students on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. Theology and Philosophy major Luke DeBoer ‘17, Nursing major Rachel DeBoer ‘16 and Elementary Education and Special Education major Allie Thiesse ‘18, along with a team of nine, worked on a construction project to build a house for a local church pastor.
